WHYZ is a night for creatives. Designers, photographers, stylists, musicians, founders, and students with a project in progress.
The idea is simple. The most interesting people in the room usually don't know each other yet.
Open to anyone who registers. You do not need to be invited and you do not need to know anyone.
Not a party. Not a panel. Not a market.
It costs one evening. If you leave with two people worth messaging, it was worth it.

The WHYZ room
The room was Tachles café, in the heart of Vienna: a fashion show, music, a stylist, a clothing brand, a jewellery brand, a T-shirt painting table, a spray wall, and a collab board at the door.

You do not have to know anyone
Anyone can come. You register, you turn up, and the room is set up so that meeting people is the easy thing to do, not the brave thing.
The collab board at the door does most of the work: your name, what you do, and one thing you are looking for, where everyone can read it.
Before you come
- Do I need an invite?
- No. WHYZ is not invite-only, and the guest list is not vetted.
- Do I need to know someone there?
- No. You register, you turn up, and the room is set up so that meeting people is the easy thing to do, not the brave thing.
- What do I bring?
- Yourself, and something you are making, or the intention to start. There is no dress code and no portfolio required.
- When is Vol. 02?
- The next WHYZ is in October 2026, in Vienna.
- What language is the night in?
- German and English. Vienna German in the room, and English the moment someone needs it. You do not need both, and nobody is going to mind which one you start in.
- What actually happens on the night?
- Vol. 01 had a fashion show, music, a stylist, a clothing brand, a jewellery brand, a T-shirt painting table, a spray wall, and a collab board at the door where everyone wrote their name, what they do, and one thing they were looking for.
